We're deprecating the who_signs field in the Tax Calculator API response JSON and replacing it with signature_requirements, which will hold the same values. Please adjust your system settings accordingly if you rely on this data programmatically.

A number of notification emails will be sent in lieu of these changes to ensure convenient time to move toward these changes.

What is deprecated in this versionWhat to use instead
who_signssignature_requirements

We've upgraded our API authentication with OAuth 2.0. This is an optional method which improves security by utilizing limited lifespan tokens instead of sharing credentials directly which reduces the risk of compromise and allows for more articulate control over data access. To learn more about how to utilize it within your integration workflow, read more here.

This update adds a 'State Exceptions' column within the Tax and Fee Mapping section (Step 3) of the AIM Integration tool. This allows for the mapping of state specific tax and fee values to InsCipher for AIM Integration clients.

Please Note: This upgrade requires you reinstall the 'AIM Integration Setup.exe' on Step 2.

We've rolled out a new webhook, webhook.batch.status.processed, which allows your AMS to receive request data relating to a Batch whose status has been moved to the processed state within InsCipher. For more information, click here.

Within the DevHub, our API Schemas provide all necessary information for creating requests, including data types, example values, required and optional field information, and the ability to test out our endpoints using your InsCipher-issued sandbox API key - right in the documentation. There's also information on errors, example requests and responses, and suggestions. We'll be adding improvements to Schemas in the coming month - so feel free to give us feedback and stay tuned!

You'll now be able to subscribe to a system event in order to receive real time notifications back to your internal agency or policy management platform endpoint. As of the time of this post, we have one webhook event that is able to be subscribed to - Transaction Status Updated to 'Filed', which allows you to receive important data about filed transactions as they occur. You can check out our webhooks documentation here.

Right now, webhooks are configured via InsCipher backend admin panel and are not yet available as a UI for customer use. If you'd like to test out webhooks in beta, please contact support.

What's the next webhook we'll offer? We're working on Batch Status Updated to 'Processed' so you can get instant feedback on batches that have successfully been processed within InsCipher, along with any instructions on missing or incorrect information necessary.
